Community Challenges
Our Community Challenges take your supporters to live and work within various communities around the world, where we have identified a need for assistance. They participate in a project that will be of long lasting benefit to the community.
These challenges have become increasingly popular over the years, with companies and charities taking up the challenge. There are many reasons for offering a community challenge to your fundraisers:
- To reach a new target group of participants/fundraisers
- Increase your Challenge portfolio and offer something really different
- Good leading stories for advertising, newsletters etc
- Become a leading charity in this new way to increase fundraising
- To give a helping hand to local communities in some of the worlds poorest countries
- To give your fundraiser a unique insight in to a different community and its cultural heritage
- Easy packages to offer to corporate groups with team-bonding and CSR benefits
The projects can vary considerably, from building a house or decorating a school to building watercourses and planting trees. Whatever the project, no experience is required, just a lot of enthusiasm and a willingness to muck in with whatever is needed, whilst having fun and mixing with the locals. We always aim to work alongside the community which gives them a sense of pride in the finished product, but also adds a great dynamic and cultural edge to the event.
We can always combine a trek/cycle challenge with 1 or more days spent working on a local Community Challenge, this twist to your challenge increases the value to the whole experience and is a good way to finish a trip.
Have a look at our forthcoming Community Challenges to see what you could get involved with, and contact us if you would like more information. We are currently setting up a variety of other Community Challenges so please keep checking our website for new arrivals, or contact us for further information. If there is a country you are particularly interested in please let us know as we may have a project in this area.
