Community Challenges
Our Community Challenges take groups of people to live and work within various communities around the world, where we have identified a need for assistance. As a participant, you therefore get the opportunity to contribute to a project that will be of long lasting benefit to the community.
Why do a Community Challenge?
These challenges have become increasingly popular over the years, with individuals, charities and corporate groups taking up the challenge. There are many reasons for participating in a Community Challenge:
- To give a helping hand to local communities in some of the worlds poorest countries
- To raise money for your chosen charity and benefit the host country
- To know that what you are working on really will make a difference to people’s lives
- To see the outcome of your team’s hard work
- To gain a unique insight into a different community and its cultural heritage
- To meet likeminded people and make new and lasting friends
The projects can vary considerably, from building a house or decorating a school to building watercourses and planting trees. Whatever the project, no experience is required, just a lot of enthusiasm and a willingness to muck in with whatever is needed, whilst having fun and mixing with the locals. We always aim to work alongside the community which gives them a sense of pride in the finished product, but also adds a great dynamic and cultural edge to the event.
