Our Virtual Challenge Series allows anyone to challenge themselves, and track your progress with our online maps & leader boards with medals & certificates. Take part ‘virtually’ on one of our 2023 Ultra Challenge events as part of your training & fundraising programme, or to support someone who’s on ‘the real thing’. We also offer a bespoke and flexible virtual challenge platform whereby we can create special challenges for your company, organisation, or charity as a low risk, high reward initiative to boost engagement, wellbeing, and fundraising.
Take on the Virtual Version of one of our Ultra Challenge events if you are unable to make the real thing. You might just want to push yourself further a little closer to home – or maybe to support a friend in spirit who is on the actual trail and maybe add to their fundraising. The ‘Virtual’ Ultra Challenges can be taken on over a maximum of 2 weeks leading up to the weekend of the actual Ultra Challenge – and their are live facebook posts & videos to bring some of the atmosphere into your virtual world – and of course you qualify for a medal, neck buff, and certificate.

CORPORATE CASE STUDY
BESPOKE VIRTUAL CHALLENGE
An electric van was driven the length of Britian – Lands End to John O’Groats – visiting Centrica offices enroute, and teams of employees mirrored the route ‘virtually’ by clocking up miles walking, jogging, running, or cycling anywhere at anytime during the month. To make it inclusive & accessible – other non physical activities were awarded miles, so everyone could move along the virtual map – and help raise funds for the charity Carers UK.
Virtual challenges are open to anyone and everyone to take part in – with a ‘start’ date & time and a virtual finish line – you can complete your chosen distance at your own pace, in your own time by running, walking or jogging. By signing up you select your distance, and once the challenge is over you’ll receive a medal & neck buff in the post. It’s a great way to stay motivated, get active & experience the outdoors in & around your local area.
I have taken part in Ultra Challenges since 2012, having completed in roughly 10 events. These events have always been fun and well organised. I couldn’t and did not expect anything less from the virtual events. What an amazing way to get like minded people engaged in such activities. Mount Kilimanjaro had been so much fun, having to work out the best routes locally to get the max elevation. Being able to see my progress on the virtual map was brilliant. Seeing similar names at times was cute. It really felt like I was in this challenge with many others and felt like I was hiking alongside them.Thank you ever so much Ultra Challenge, you continue to perform to high standards.
