If you are a charity why not join us?

Action Challenge has been in business for over 20 years, with charities being a key component of our events from the outset, and by the end of 2023 we hope to celebrate breaking through the £100 million fundraising-to-date landmark for our UK & overseas challenges. We deal with 500 or so charities of all sizes, and have the range of 1st class events, the experience, expertise, and the passion to help your charity with its fundraising ambitions & supporter loyalty.

Our Ultra Challenge Series is now one of the UK’s highest fundraising series of mass participation events, with over 25,000 people taking part each year on one of the 14 challenges – and raising over £7 million for our charity partners. We’ve also taken over 15,000 trekkers on adventures to Kilimanjaro’s summit, up to Everest Base Camp, along the Great Wall of China and to all corners of the globe – along with thousands of cyclists on grand tours of the UK, Europe, Asia, and beyond.

Our challenge events & consulting services offer the ideal fundraising platform, tailored to your charity’s requirements. We offer bespoke overseas charity group trips, an exciting & unique ‘open challenge’ programme, and innovative large scale mass-participation events. If you want to re-vitalise your fundraising activity in 2023 or beyond – get in touch!

Bespoke Challenges

UK, EUROPE, or Overseas

For many charities it’s their own special event that’s needed to optimise the fundraising potential from their supporter base, and to cement that all important ongoing supporter loyalty. Over the past 20 years we’ve planned and operated hundreds of bespoke challenge events for charities of all sizes, which have helped to generate £’millions fundraising. Whether it’s an overseas trek to one of the classic bucket-list destinations, a new cycling challenge in a remote part of the globe, or a UK mass participation event for a few thousand existing & new supporters – we have the experience, the expertise, and the tool kit to plan & deliver the perfect challenge event for your charity.  You’ll get a dedicated account manager, and access to our ‘Challenge App’ platform to ensure there’s a professional journey for your supporters – along with positioning on our websites & social media channels to help with marketing & recruitment. If you’re up for a challenge – we’re here to help you!

For the past 8 years we’ve partnered with Great Ormond Street Children’s Hospital to deliver a suite of bespoke, open, & UK challenges for their fundraisers. We’ve cycled around sun soaked Ibiza with them a few times, trekked to the snowy summit of Kilimanjaro, and have seen thousands of adventurers taking on an Ultra Challenge and fundraising in aid of GOSH. It’s been a fantastic journey, and we are proud to have enabled their supporters to achieve their goals whilst raising vital funds for the charity.

Open Challenges

Kilimanjaro, Everest Base Camp, The Inca Trail, Great Wall, Iceland, Morocco and many other amazing backdrops make for real adventures – and with testing trails, perhaps altitude & ice, or maybe sun & sand – they’re also perfect ready made fundraising challenges! Then get a group of 20 or so like minded adventurers together – lay on top quality support & hospitality including a UK Mountain Leader & a UK Medic – and you have an unforgettable Action Challenge trip!

Your supporters can join one of our many scheduled ‘Open Challenges’ and fundraise for your charity – and they’ll love the adventure experience, the new friendships made, and will return with personal horizons broadened and a real sense of fulfilment. We are market leaders on Kilimanjaro – having safely taken over 5,500 trekkers to its summit – and have a full programme of inspirational challenges across the globe in 2023 & 2024 – which you can promote to your supporter base and boost your fundraising.

Virtual Challenges

One of the few benefits of the restrictions during the ‘Covid Years’ was that it provided us with the time to develop a class leading ‘Virtual Challenge’ platform. This enables us to run any form of virtual challenge that can be imagined – walks, runs, climbs , cycling or even hair cutting – and to bring it all alive with dynamic online maps, leader boards, web pages, a challenge App, neck buffs, finishers medals, and digital certificates.

Our own series of unique monthly virtual challenges, and parallel virtual versions of each Ultra Challenge, have kept thousands of our participants active, and have also helped to raise over £300,000 for our charity partners. We have also run bespoke ‘virtuals’ for our clients – and if you have a large corporate partner, or just a supporter base who are up for it – we can design, market & operate the perfect engaging virtual challenge to boost your 2023 fundraising. Get in touch – let’s get imagining – and let’s go virtual!
