Action Challenge has been in business for over 20 years, with charities being a key component of our events from the outset, and by the end of 2023 we hope to celebrate breaking through the £100 million fundraising-to-date landmark for our UK & overseas challenges. We deal with 500 or so charities of all sizes, and have the range of 1st class events, the experience, expertise, and the passion to help your charity with its fundraising ambitions & supporter loyalty.
Our Ultra Challenge Series is now one of the UK’s highest fundraising series of mass participation events, with over 25,000 people taking part each year on one of the 14 challenges – and raising over £7 million for our charity partners. We’ve also taken over 15,000 trekkers on adventures to Kilimanjaro’s summit, up to Everest Base Camp, along the Great Wall of China and to all corners of the globe – along with thousands of cyclists on grand tours of the UK, Europe, Asia, and beyond.

Our class leading Ultra Challenge Series provides charities with access to high quality, low-risk, safe, centrally marketed events – offering a fantastic ready made recruitment & fundraising potential for a wide range of supporters.
We’re proud to work with a range of 450+ amazing charities, which will benefit from the Series £7+ million fundraising in 2022. Our Series Partners are some of the UK’s major national charities, there’re also regional & local charities as Challenge Partners for each event, and many others involved on a simple ‘listed charity’ basis. CASE STUDY
Momentum were looking for an accessible, inclusive, and high quality trekking challenge – without the hassle, risk , and financial constraints of trying to put on their own event. They joined our iconic Thames Path Challenge in 2019, and by 2021 had a team of 100 or so supporters taking part – and with options of 25 km, 50 km, or 100 km – as a Walk, Jog, or Run – there was a challenge to suit everyone!

CASE STUDY
For the past 8 years we’ve partnered with Great Ormond Street Children’s Hospital to deliver a suite of bespoke, open, & UK challenges for their fundraisers. We’ve cycled around sun soaked Ibiza with them a few times, trekked to the snowy summit of Kilimanjaro, and have seen thousands of adventurers taking on an Ultra Challenge and fundraising in aid of GOSH. It’s been a fantastic journey, and we are proud to have enabled their supporters to achieve their goals whilst raising vital funds for the charity.

Your supporters can join one of our many scheduled ‘Open Challenges’ and fundraise for your charity – and they’ll love the adventure experience, the new friendships made, and will return with personal horizons broadened and a real sense of fulfilment. We are market leaders on Kilimanjaro – having safely taken over 5,500 trekkers to its summit – and have a full programme of inspirational challenges across the globe in 2023 & 2024 – which you can promote to your supporter base and boost your fundraising.
Virtual Challenges
One of the few benefits of the restrictions during the ‘Covid Years’ was that it provided us with the time to develop a class leading ‘Virtual Challenge’ platform. This enables us to run any form of virtual challenge that can be imagined – walks, runs, climbs , cycling or even hair cutting – and to bring it all alive with dynamic online maps, leader boards, web pages, a challenge App, neck buffs, finishers medals, and digital certificates.
Our own series of unique monthly virtual challenges, and parallel virtual versions of each Ultra Challenge, have kept thousands of our participants active, and have also helped to raise over £300,000 for our charity partners.
