Charity Area 2019

Action Challenge Charity Area

Here you can find out all about who we are and what we do - and how you can get involved and work with us across our UK events and international treks and challenges.

We are Action Challenge and we specialise in mass participation challenges and events across the UK and internationally. Every year in the UK alone we see over 25,000 participants take on a walk, trek or run with us and help to raise over £5 million for UK charities each year through our challenges.

If you are a charity and not yet registered to work with us in 2019, please email us at to find out how you can get involved on our treks and challenges. We work with charities at varying levels across our events and have put together the below guide to help you decide which is best suited to your charity.

What we offer...

Work with us on our UK Ultra Series:

We have 10 huge challenges in store for 2019 that make up our iconic 'Ultra Challenge Series' - we saw over 17,000 participants take on these challenges in 2018 and with our Early Bird promotions we anticipate over 20,000 will take part next year - each challenge offers a 100km, 50km or 25km route and participant's can walk, jog or run the route.

We offer unrivaled support and hospitality to both our participants and charities who come along to support their fundraisers - we provide fully signposted routes, rest stops every 12-15km with snacks and hot drinks, water replenishment stations, self-help and First Aid tents, St John Ambulance crew and our fantastic Trek Masters who can be found along the route to lend a helping hand to our challengers.

Charities can register to become a Listed Charity or a Challenge Partner on these events, depending on the level of involvement the charity would like. You can find out all about the challenges by visiting our brand new Ultra website here >>

If your charity would like to be a part of these fantastic events, follow the below link to complete the Charity Authorisation Form. Once you're registered with us you will receive our extensive marketing packs so that you can promote the events to your supporters and recruit lots of fundraisers.

Work with us on our seasonal UK events:

We are about to enter the third year of our festive Winter Walk! We saw 2,000 participant's take part in 2018 and expect even more to take on the cool 20km route around the heart of the Capital on the Saturday 12th January 2019.

Finally, we will see our Easter Walk return for a second year on Saturday 20th April 2019 after a very successful reception this year - over 1,500 intrepid trekkers took on this challenge in 2018 to put a spring in their step . The event itself is a looped route and can be walked as a 25km or 25 mile challenge from Windsor Racecourse along the Thames Path and back again to 'base camp' for some Easter entertainment!

Want to be involved? Follow the below link to complete the Charity Authorisation Form - we will be in touch shortly after with the next steps.

Work with us on our international events:

Work with the leading international challenge provider. We have taken more than 15,000 participants to over 30 countries since 1999 and launched our Open Challenges soon after forming to give adventurers the opportunity to take on their challenge, their way throughout the year. We offer fully supported treks and challenges to intrepid adventurers looking to push themselves further - and raise money for charity along the way.

Our Open Challenges mean that individuals can sign up to a challenge on their preferred date and join a group of up to 120 people and fundraise for their chosen charity in a big way. With flexible payment options and three ways to fundraise, we provide a fully supported experience for each individual, and have to date helped participants raise over £70 million for UK charities.

Our most popular Open Challenges are Kilimanjaro, Everest Base Camp, The Saharan Challenge and Trek Great Wall of China. We have taken over 600 people safely up Kilimanjaro and run 30-40 trips every year and provide the best

We currently work with over 600 charities across our UK and International challenges and welcome new charities every day to work with us on one or all of our events. If you haven't worked with us before and your charity would like to accept participants on these challenges, you can complete the below Authorisation Form and we will be in touch very soon to chat through your involvement in more detail.
