Unlimited free UK training walks with every overseas challenge booking. No, you didn’t misread that.
It’s like Netflix for challenge training.
If you’re preparing for a trek, there’s no better way to train than by getting out on your feet and moving in the same way you’ll move on your challenge. Our UK Training Walks give you achievable mileage, time outdoors, and a supportive environment. Guided by our overseas challenge leaders, they are perfect for building confidence before departure
Why We’re Introducing These Walks

Preparing for a trek isn’t just about fitness—it’s about conditioning your body to walk steadily for long periods, across varied terrain, at a sustainable pace. These training walks help you do exactly that. They give you the chance to:
- Spend extended time on your legs
- Build stamina in a practical, challenge‑specific way
- Test out your kit and footwear
- Learn how your body feels at different distances
- Boost your confidence before your trip
It’s training that feels natural, because it mirrors exactly what you’ll be doing on your overseas ad
Led by Our Overseas Challenge Leaders

Each walk is guided by one of our experienced overseas challenge leaders. They know treks inside out and will share tips, advice, and encouragement along the way.
These walks are only open to people booked onto an overseas challenge, ensuring a group of like‑minded trekkers all working toward exciting goals.
And sorry—no dogs on these walks.
A Social, Supportive Way to Train

We genuinely encourage you to walk with the group, not just for the training benefit but for the social atmosphere. These days out are a fantastic way to meet fellow challengers, swap stories, and build friendships before your trip begins.
At the end of each walk, there’s time for a relaxed social drink before you head home – another great opportunity to connect with like-minded challengers.
Beautiful Locations, Achievable Distances

These walks take place in scenic parts of the UK, offering fresh air, open space, and some stunning views. Distances are intentionally accessible – long enough to be effective training, but manageable for all experience levels. Most can be reached by public transport, and will start / finish from the same location, so there’s no hassle of transfers.
They’re the perfect excuse to get outside on a weekend, spend time with other challengers, and build readiness for your trek in a fun, social, structured way.
